I just completed the
2012 Copper Canyon 50 mile Ultra in Urique, Mexico. Close to
500 runners including 80 International, local Raramuri and
Tarahumara Indians as well as Mexican Nationals took part in the
week long celebration. Over 60 ton of corn vouchers were
presented to everyone that participated. I made many new
friends and experienced the local culture and ultra running in its'
purest form. This is one of those experiences that should be
on your bucket list. |

The 2011 Kelowna Civic
Awards were fabulous. Such inspiring people nominated in many
categories. I felt like I did not deserve to be there among
such talented and inspiring people. After watching the video
presentations of my fellow nominees I was sure I would not win.
What a surprise when I was announced the winner of Male Athlete of
the Year. |
